This is a great film. After laying out the many details of the background to the assassination of JFK, it brings forward the revelation that James Files was one of the shooters in Dealy Plaza that day. The JFK assassination is the Rosetta Stone to understanding our country’s history since that fateful day in Dallas on November 22, 1963

If these men, FBI agents and felons, are not telling the truth then they are the finest actors ever to appear on film.
President Kennedy’s assassination was the apex or nadir, however one wants to see it, of a rogue CIA/FBI/military specialists that had been slinking around the globe neutralizing annoyances for decades.
Add the Mafia that oddly ran on an unimpeachable honor system that somehow Old Joe Kennedy let slip his mind and something is going to give. For Old Joe, his tab came due in on a sunny day in Dealey Plaza.
Staggering in its scope of characters that the Dallas PD and the Warren Commission funneled down to one loser, poor boy from New Orleans who just wanted to be a double agent, just wanted to be somebody.
Worth watching, seriously.

I found this documentary pretty silly. All of the testimony from the so-called participants, especially the shooter(s), ignores the science that modern technology has provided us. Many of the connections between various groups and individuals are tenuous, at best. Ballistic analysis of the head shot film has proven beyond any doubt that the fatal shot came from behind the President, not from the side (as the shooter in this film claims). It’s an entertaining piece, especially if you’re into fictional documentaries. Watch it with a questioning mind and you’ll see what I mean.

There is a long buildup discussing LHO, and then, suddenly, James Files is named as the assassin. No mention of LHO and his actions after the assassination involving the movie theater and the Tippet murder. And then, a congenial James Files is matter-of-factly discussing his mob days, and how he shot JFK in the head, bit the shell casing, and then walked off, as if he were discussing his prom date in high school, not the murder of the most powerful man in the world. And if there really were a team of under-cover agents sent to abort the assassination, why didn’t they change the motorcade route instead of milling about in the crowd hoping to catch a shooter? Who knows what really happened, but I am not convinced any of this is true….

I wouldn’t. And I doubt they did. The guy was basically a young thug without military training in marksmanship, and we’re expected to believe he was hired to pull off the assassination of the century? And from the best vantage point? The rifle shot from behind the fence at a moving target would have taken expert level skill and experience. A military sniper that had been proven in combat, not a street tough. Also, all the information the he recounts could have been told to him by someone else (who is probably dead) so this fella is just grasping at some infamy while sitting in prison. Interesting film, but some tenuous links and specious info.

This was very informative, very in-depth, and very compelling! I’ve been studying the JFK assassination for around 25 years, and this documentary showed evidence I’d not seen before, and it’s good since there’s a lot of first-hand, eyewitness sources. There’s evidence from many different areas of the investigation:: from forensic, to Lee Harvey Oswald, to people in the military and government, to law enforcement. JFK wasn’t perfect, of course, but he didn’t have to die, nor did Oswald deserve to take the fall. IMHO, this has been he best JFK assassination documentary I’ve seen to date. I highly recommend it.

There is a lot of information here. For someone who has seen and read a lot about the assassination, there will not be so much new, but for someone just developing an interest in the subject, there is a lot here. Considering just how much is available, this 90 minute documentary/movie packs in a lot. I personally found Judyth Vary Baker’s ‘testimony’ very believable. Her book, “Me and Lee”, covers what she shared here. Another book that covers the New Orleans cancer research angle, I found “Dr. Mary’s Monkey” fascinating.

I have watched and or read more information about the Kennedy assassination then I can remember. This film connects all the dots and then backs them up in such a way that I for one believe this is the way it went down. Another comment stated that the head shot was proven to be from the rear. Hogwash. If you know anything about the way a bullet creates a wound (I’m a hunter) You know “small entrance large exit” The Zubruter film clearly shows this, and that the fatal head shot came from the front. Just my opinion but facts are facts. Excellent film.

What we who were alive during the assassination already knew of at least most of it. This is a very factual account and some people I never heard of giving their testimony. I very much want a real investigation after all these years even though those who caused this to happen are dead now. Our government, especially the CIA, are capable of all sorts of crimes like assassination and False Flags like 9/11. Many organizations are now working on proving our government was behind 9/11. Watch the documentary Seven, just released this year, or In Plain Site for some background on that work.

I’ve been studying the Kennedy case since it started ( I was 10 at the time ), and this is the biggest bag of crap I have ever seen.

Although it offers a fascinating perspective on the Kennedy assassination, THE GRASSY KNOLL falls short of being a great documentary because of the shoddiness of its construction. Although the film presents some genuinely fascinating footage and some truly shocking interviews, it lacks any sense of thematic continuity or narrative flow. The documentarians should have given it a better title, too– perhaps something more to do with Lee Harvey Oswald and James Files, the two central characters in the narrative. And perhaps they should have done some proofreading, as well: The word “assassination” is misspelled several times onscreen, for example, and at one point the text reads “presiden’ts” rather than “president’s.” (A minor matter, perhaps, but one that definitely affects the film’s overall quality and credibility.) All in all, I enjoyed watching this film, but only because I’m already interested in the topic– I can’t imagine anyone sitting through it who wasn’t.

This documentary is very believable. I was born the year after the President was assassinated and listened many holidays as a child and young adult when my elders and siblings would talk about where they were when he was murdered. It traumatized my family, it traumatized our nation for generations to come. Those men that gave such specific details which cannot be refuted have finally come forward and told the truth. Definitely worth the watch.

The shots definitely came from the front the grassy knoll has always been the prime suspect the actors will never know there were so many elements to the characters and the patsies and people didn’t even know who was who including pretend secret service agents that were keeping people back from the picket fence after the shots were fired I love the fact that they have the eyewitnesses that were on the other side of daily plaza the southwest side of doley plaza and saw the activities of the fatal shots from the picket fence

I have been an assassination researcher for many years, and I used to believe there was a conspiracy. I am still open to hearing information which indicates there was one. This documentary, however, does not present any new facts or evidence. It makes many of the tired, old claims such as the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle requiring a full 2 seconds between shots (This is demonstrably false).

There is nothing new here, and it is presented in such a boring manner that it really is a waste of time.

This follows many of the conspiracy theories and is believable to a point. If the truth was known in the 1990’s, why do we just now see this documentary.? Why is it that every suspect in this video was dead long before this movie was made.? People are extremely tired of speculation and want to know the truth if it actually exists.

So those 3 “hobos” as they were called at the time were really agents. And were they there to stop it or what? If they knew of a plot to kill Kennedy why wasn’t he told about it and not go to Dallas that day? They kept saying “they messed up” – did that mean they failed to stop this killing?

I’m familiar with a lot of video productions on this subject and personally have seen all of this material in other places. I wasn’t aware of this when I purchased it. However, I concur with comments of others here that this is a great conglomeration of video material on the subject and highly recommended for newbies looking into it. Its the first place I’ve seen the James Files and Judyth Baker stories in the same production. I do some of my own audio/video work and feel that some of the editing could’ve been better. But from an information perspective, definitely a good purchase for anyone who is not familiar with the people interviewed in this video.

Any “documentary” about the JFK assassination the mentions the “magic bullet” theory is automatically disqualified from being considered to be a factual representation. The so-called “magic-bullet” has been de-bunked several times and there was in fact one shot that went through both JFK and Connally prior to the JFK head shot. There is some entertainment value if you like to watch circular logic, conjecture, and made up information that does not fit the facts of the case.
